NEXT TALK ON LIVESTOCK INTEGRATION

May 8, 2015 | CATTLE RAISING | 0 comments

IT WILL BE CELEBRATED IN OLVERA ON THURSDAY 14 MAY AT 11,30 H.

From an animal health point of view, it has been shown that the best way to fight diseases is by separating the different production phases. A farm with breeding sows in which the piglets are also raised and then the pigs are fattened will have more problems than one in which the piglets are taken to a fattening feedlot. In the world of poultry farming, breeder chicken farms are in a few sheds, incubators are independent, and the chicken feedlots are elsewhere.
In recent years, in the meat poultry industry: mainly chickens and turkeys, As well as in the white pig industry, a production model popularly called Integration has spread..

Integration is the union of different productive links: mothers farms, feedlots, feed factories, slaughterhouses, etc., so that the frictions that may exist between them are canceled. The integrated rancher usually builds a farm and the integrator brings animals to him, I think, technical services,… At the end, the farmer receives his income according to the quantity and weight of the animals produced.
This type of industries, for sanitary reasons, flee from areas of high concentration of farms, and for climatic-energy-economic reasons, it seeks climate-favorable environments. Thus, We think from our Cooperative that there may be a business opportunity for a good part of the province of Cádiz, and many areas of Seville. As essential requirements, have some land with water (they are large herds) and desire to work.

From Los Remedios-Picasat we want to explain to ranchers and farmers in these areas what a livestock integration consists of. For this we will have a meeting next THURSDAY 14 MAY AT 11.30 IN THE MORNING at the Assembly Hall of the Cooperativa Los Remesdios Picasat in Olvera.
