ANDALUCIA STANDS OUT ABOVE ALL AS A GOAT PRODUCER
The value of Andalusian animal production as a whole amounts to almost 1.600 millions of euros, concentrating more than 50% In sevilla (24%), Córdoba (20%) and Malaga (11%). The 76% of the value of animal production in Andalusia is made up of meat and animals sold by farmers, the 18% milk, while the eggs represent the 3%. In meat production and sale of animals, pigs have a greater representation (42%), followed by birds (28%), bovine (19%) and sheep-goats (11%).
On the other hand, according to data from the animal census of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Environment, Andalusia stands out in goats with the 35% of the Spanish census. Also in sheep it has an important representation, with the 14% of the national troops.
