Yesterday, Day of the Province of Cádiz, the Los Remedios Picasat SCA Cooperative, has been awarded one of the Medals awarded by the Provincial Council of Cádiz in recognition of the work of all its associates, farmers, ranchers, workers and all auxiliary companies that contribute and contribute every day to the maintenance of the primary sector.

The award was presented by the President of the Provincial Council Ms.. Almudena Martínez del Junco and by Mrs.. Ana Belén Carrera Armario as Deputy to D. Francisco Panduro Ramírez President of the Cooperative entity.

The history of the Nuestra Señora de los Remedios-Picasat Agricultural Cooperative dates back to 1959, when a group of farmers from Olvera came together to work in a coordinated manner and defend their interests. Today are 7.000 partners - farmers and ranchers of the Sierra de Cádiz, the countryside, La Janda, Campo de Gibraltar and neighboring provinces of Málaga and Seville-, those who have in the cooperative “the glue to get closer to the value chain”. The Medal of the Province is a recognition of all the work and sacrifice of those who make up the Nuestra Señora de Los Remedios-Picasat Cooperative, to their dedication and efforts for continuous improvement, to the care with which they treat primary productions and to that capacity for innovation and continuous adaptation that has allowed them to become one of the agri-food companies in the province best known by consumers nationally and internationally..

VISITS, TASTING AND COURSES

  • They organize guided tastings by technicians from the Cooperative and by technicians from the Olvera Denomination of Origin. They take place in our facilities of the Cooperative. They are aimed at schools, to consumer groups, hospitality schools, etc.
  • They organize you guided tours to the oil mill, checking the entire oil production process from the entry of the olive.
  • They are also organized visits to the field, to check the olive harvest and other crops.
  • They are taught training courses and talks on the cooperative activities.
