THE 70% OF FATAL ACCIDENTS ARE RELATED TO THIS ACCIDENT
The 70 percent of fatal accidents that occur in Spain in the agricultural sector are due to tractor overturns, according to recent statements by Iñaki Mendioroz, technical director of the UAGN Foundation (Navarre agrarian union), carried out within the framework of a seminar on the main occupational risks in this sector, organized in Pamplona .
He explained that "every farmer must be aware that he has to comply with the Risk Prevention Law, it is something mandatory. This is a major challenge. We must add to improve our awareness of preventive culture and adapt to what the avant-garde is going to offer us ", has said.
Mendioroz has opted to "continue working to raise awareness in the sector", which is "particular" because of the machinery it uses, the temporality of agricultural work and the labor it employs, which makes the difficulty of developing the Prevention Law greater, "But that doesn't mean it can't be done".
