The bell 20/21 olive harvest is reaching its final stretch, So the moment begins to restore the nutritional needs of the olive trees and improve the structure of the soil to favor a greater infiltration of water into the soil and thus we will achieve a greater production of olives., We strengthen the natural defenses of the plant since we favor the microbial activity of the soil and reduce the stress of high summer temperatures.
For all this, for several years SCA Los Remedios Picasat has been working on the recovery of by-products from our own activity (oil extraction and livestock), to obtain a natural product, with balanced levels of nutrients, with high levels of organic matter and almost free of seeds that lead to the implantation of unwanted weeds.
The by-products used are alperujo, manure from our calf feeders and the leaves of the olive trees, properly mixed and fully fermented.
The doses to use in olive groves range between 2.000 Y 5.000 kg / ha, depending on the age of the olive trees and productions.
The way to apply the compost can be directly by tree or to the entire land, providing the cooperative with a spreading car for its application.
