TOOK PLACE IN THE PAST 11 MARCH IN OUR EVENT ROOM IN OLVERA
The olive grove in our region has always been an important crop for the family economy of the area, having a significant social and cultural component. This crop, due to the topography and orography where it develops, generates production costs that are leading to a general drop in agricultural income for producers, in many cases even to the abandonment of their cultivation.
On this day, celebrated the past 11 March in the assembly hall of the Cooperative in Olvera, the current problem of cultivation was approached from different fronts. So, the first of the speakers, Victorino A. Vega (IFAPA Alameda del Obispo technician, Córdoba) reported on the "Management and conversion of the traditional olive grove" to other more profitable farms. Later Rafael Romero, DCOOP group technician spoke about "Health and subscriber of the Olivar". Finally, Francisco Casero, member of the Asociación Valor Ecológico-CAAE gave a presentation on «Ecological production in the new PDR (Rural Development Plan) 2014-2020».
