LA ALMAZARA OPENS NEXT DAY 19 OCTOBER
The day 19 October will open the oil mill to start a new olive harvesting campaign, and therefore it is appropriate to remember some rules that will help the correct development of this.
· The cleaning and weighing lines are not altered from the distribution carried out in the last campaign:
Ø Line 1: ground olive and soapy.
Ø Line 2: organic olive
Ø The rest for the traditionally grown olives
This distribution is likely to be modified by the staff according to the needs.
Other rules remain valid for this campaign are:
Obligation to respect the safety deadlines of phytosanitary products in the case of having carried out treatments. It is also recalled that is mandatory treatments and products authorized according to specifications of the manufacturer (dose, dates, pests, etc.)
The trailers, boxes, bags, in short, any other means of transporting olives, they must be clean, and containers that have been used for the transport of phytosanitary products must be rejected, fertilizers, medicines, etc.
· No type of machinery should travel on top of the olives. (vibradoras, chainsaws, desbrozadotas, etc.) and fuels, lubricants, etc. that can cause contamination in the fruit and in the oil.
For the same reason, it is necessary to check the hydraulic circuits of tractors and trucks and the leaks of passenger cars..
In the case of organic olives, it is mandatory to deliver the current Certificate of Conformity issued by the appropriate control body..
· The flight olive must be delivered daily in order to avoid fermentation and alterations that affect the quality of the oil.
· The soapy olive is affected by a fungus that initially causes the appearance of spots, and that in more advanced stages mummify the fruit, leaving it wrinkled and dry. This olive is of very poor quality, and therefore must be collected and delivered as if it were soil.
· Traceability remains mandatory, so the partner must provide the polygon, portion, and municipal scale to the operator.
The material made available to members to facilitate downloading (brushes, bars, Forks…) should be used responsibly, avoiding possible breakage.
· For this campaign it is mandatory to accompany the load with the transport document (She drives) duly completed, and when the collection is finished it must be deposited in the facilities of the cooperative. In case of not wearing it, the Civil Guard can sanction.
This document can be collected in the laboratory or in the weighing booth of the oil mill in Los Gredales
