THERE ARE 3000 FARMS LESS THAN IN 2010
The number of dairy sheep farms has fallen drastically in Spain in the last five years. So, currently there are some 3.000 farms less than in 2.010. Specific, January has passed 2.010 to January 2.015 out of a total of 10.931 dairy farms to 7.901 livestock, which means a percentage reduction of the 28%. In the case of sheep with meat aptitude, the evolution has been the opposite. In this five-year period, has passed from 86.776 farms to 91.091 farms, which means a percentage increase in the 5%.
